Hello everybody!  Hope y’all been doing well and good out there.  I had spent a good majority of the last several months working in Shanghai on Bodyguards and Assassins.  There wasn’t too much to do in the area that I was staying at, so during my time off, I mostly just worked-out, chilled, and watched DVDs with Nic.  Because there really wasn’t much else to do during our time away from the set, Nic and I ended up racking up a fancy collection of Wing Chun training hours (which was very constructive).

Though the bustle was about a 45-minute-car-ride away, I did (on a few occasions) find myself taking a day trip to the actual city part of Shanghai with several fellow actors to do a bit of shopping and a great deal of eating...

This picture was taken in April during the first few days of my stay in Shanghai for Bodyguards and Assassins.   I think this was also the moment I realized that I had forgotten to pack my XBOX 360.

    Tourists…

Nic and I with the Strikeforce middle-weight champion, Cung Le (who was also working on Bodyguards and Assassins with us).  I nearly sprained my jaw trying to bite through his deltoid.

My friend Kate and the stage production that she was a part of were on the Shanghai leg of their tour and a few of the actors from her production was friends with an actor from the production that I was working on, so we all got a chance to grab a dinner and drink out in the city.

    On the set.

A metal wing combing over the clouds of a gradient blue sky.

Soon after I returned to Hong Kong, Leila and I were invited onto a cooking/interview/talk-show program called “Cooking Mama,” which is hosted by our very own friendly-neighborhood, MC Jin.  It was a fun time, and for the record, Leila is a pretty darn good cook!

Spurred on by our training sessions in Shanghai, I decided to introduce Nic and Onimal to to my Si-Hing (senior kung-fu brother), Cliff AuYueng, last week.  Cliff was very generous (as always) with letting us work-out at his school.

My Si-Hing, Cliff giving Nic a few words of advice.

Looks like Jen wants to learn how to efficiently punch a person in the face too.

Time flew by, it’s almost 10pm!

The paparazzi followed us for most of the evening and waited for us to leave the school.  Of all the photos they took, they decided to print this one of Nic sucker-punching my sternum while we waited for the elevator outside of my kung fu brother’s Wing Chun school.

Nic and I returned the following Monday (a couple of days ago) to train some more.

    Another good session.

And last night, director Teddy Chen invited a few of us out for a dinner and a chat.  A good time and good discussion was had by all.

Good times were had, good things are happening, and good happenings are approaching.
