Recently, I got to take a nice trip to Bintan and Singapore. The trip to Bintan, Indonesia (a short ferry ride away from Singapore) was a nice, relaxing beachy getaway that was much-needed after a hectic period of work and projects. It felt great being able to chill at the beach everyday... and I also got to snorkel, go biking, learn windsurfing (it's definitely not easy!), and go swimming.

Then I was in Singapore for the F1 races. I have to say that for my first time watching car racing, it was pretty cool to see it live, and we had a great view by the bay. We were seated in a huge grandstand where we couldn't see any other portion of the racetrack except for the stretch that was the width of the grandstand. You could hear the cars coming, then you'd whip your from right to left to catch a glimpse of them flying by, and then they were gone in a flash. Repeat for each car of the cars that whizzed by, and repeat for 61 laps. We happened to be seated in front of the track where a few of the crashes happened. Luckily everyone was okay. We got to see the driver of the first crash climb out of his car admist all of us in the crowd cheering and the crane lifting the crashed car off the tracks, so it was kinda cool to see some of this action in front of us. As you probably know, aside from several crashes, there was the embarrassing pit stop drama with Ferrari, who started off the first part of the race in first place and ended up losing, badly.

The rest of the Singapore trip was spent eating, shopping, and partying and hanging out with friends, so it was fun! My good friend Sangita is possibly leaving Singapore soon, so I'm glad I got to hang out and party with her.

Also got to meet up with fellow AnD artist Jeszlene briefly. Great seeing ya! :)
