24 hours and Counting

All preparations are done,  rehearsals complete the 2008 Olympic Games will begin soon. A thank you should go out to the people of China for doing a bang up job!  Xie,xie!  Regardless of the governments policies this event could not happen without the people......this without doubt was a great undertaking.....not without sacrifices. The air quality of course was related to industrial development in China but also the fact that it took longer than they thought it would......I was told that all construction was suppose to cease by Januar...Read more

InMat and Shaolin

InMat started out bright and early, as Glenn, Marvin ,Helen, and I left for San Jose at 8am.  When we arrived the CPAA Facility was not ready for the Tournament to start....they were finishing up their aerobics class........which had seemingly over 100 students.........the place is well used as it houses classes of all kinds.............dance,music, calligraphy, and martial arts..........all being taught by professional artist from China. Turns out we did not have to worry too much as only about 50-60 competitors showed up for the event....p...Read more

InMat is coming!

Just finished a photo shoot with the Sf Chronicle.....they wanted to know how the Chinese Community feels about the Olympics............and my basic response was that the Chinese Community is quite proud of China, though we realize China still has a ways to go........but without the Olympics China would not be under the scrutiny of the world.........this is key to China changin, it's also important for the world to actually see how Chinese Society operates........and to find out how the people are............friendship thru sports is a p...Read more
