  • The return of the "Young and Dangerous" Franchise!

    Being based in Hong Kong, the AnD team is lucky to have the opportunity to attend the premiere screenings of some of Asia's best new films.  Sometimes its as film festivals (HK International Film Festival, Screen Singapore, etc) and sometimes its stand alone screenings (like Jackie Chan's CZ12 screening last month).  alivenotdead.comlw5RRR1C

    @+[ D~| go0The latest was the long awaited premiere of the new "Young and Dangerous" (古惑仔) film,  titled "Young and Dangerous: Reloaded".  For those not familiar with HK Cinema, the original "Young and Dangerous" (wiki) film from 1996 inspired 5 sequels and several spin-offs,  including one of Daniel Wu's very first films, along side Nicholas Tse's big screen debut in 1998's "Young and Dangerous: The Prequel".

    ?;x#xG1?0This revival of the franchise by original producer Wong Jing is particularly special because it involves many AnD artists, including rising star director Daniel Chan,  actor and martial arts choreographer Philip Ng and actress Winnie Leung are in the film as well. Most notably HK music legend Paul Wong (who not only acts in the movie but also contributes to the sound track).

    jazs - yeah there have been a lot of differing opinions on this film.   It's also hard to compare it to the other ones too.

    I am a huge fan of the YnD series and I have to say this one is not up to par. I am a little disappointed. Or rather perhaps I had too much hope in it.

    IT was a great movies. All act so well. I will watch again online because there are many cutted scene in Malaysia.
