Copy Hats again !

I guess we must be doing something right for people to keep copying our hats. Our hats had already been ripped off sometime ago as a friend got us the yellow and white 24Herrs hat from China. Recently a friend of Gee Styles found this the green and white one with embossed logo in Mongkok. Quite a good copy. They've stepped up ! I had also found a download site awhile back and there were like 2000 downloads of our CD. This is why Chinese groups have a hard time surviving in the music biz. Such is life.

Ditto goes for anything else, be it movies or specially designed fashion items, such as the 24 Herbs hats and so on.

Sometimes I feel I'm in the minority, 'cos I insist on buying original CDs and won't settle for anything else.

Case in point, last evening as my colleagues were about to leave the office, they saw me listening to a certain artist's original CD on my office PC, and asked me if they could burn a few songs off my original CD.

I told them no way I could let them do that, but if they really wanted the songs, I'd buy the original CD from the artist for them. It's even worse in this case, 'cos I personally know the artist whose CD I was listening to... sigh! :-(

If you ask me, it's just sad that people just don't understand :-(

Do you think this is just a Chinese problem?

Issues with copyright and licensing for artists is a global issue. Not just singers - painters, sculptors, photographers, architects and others.

Using your logo without your permission is criminal! However, I don't think its the reason why people have a hard time surviving in the entertainment industry.

24herrs lol . Quality looks very high but still they need to make it just spelled or written incorrect. So it is not 100% copy, but if you guys have trademarked the logo they could not use it at all.

24Herbs (Ya Sei Mei is the Chinese name) is a breath of fresh air to the concrete jungle. The name comes from a herbal drink that’s special to Hong Kong. It’s a bitter tasting drink that people love or hate. It’s also the best medicine when you’re ill-and that’s what the band’s about, you can love or hate our music but what we’re giving you is good for you!

24Herbs is made out of six members. Each bringing unique styles to the bands. Mr. Drunk (aka Conroy Chan an actor and one of the ALIVE Boys) is the drunken master that flows with an interesting perspective on life. Dor Yuk (aka Eddie Chung who’s an established producer in Hong Kong) blends the music together. Brian Siswojo (Know1edge and 8five2 shop) brings a mad sense of humor mixed with unforgettable lines. Ghost Style (underground artist/producer) brings his English raps and style beats to the crew, Kit and Phat (members of the legendary group LMF) keep it real with straight up hardcore raps from the street culture.
