RESULTS ARE IN for the McDonald's 3Q Challenge!!!

The winner of the McDonald's 3Q Challenge is...

OK.  Sorry to tease but you'll have to wait another 12 hours.  For the first time ever, this contest may go INTERNATIONAL as there might be a contestant participating from Boston.  We'll know by tonight if he'll participate via video link (OK, not really b/c of the time difference) and whether he can out-eat the folks here in HK.  (Hint: this guy has taken part in past challenges and he is a certified eater.)

Also, I thought I'd share with you how I FEEL about the contest...this picture pretty much says it all:

OK.  So I'm not really telling you how I feel "about" the contest; I'm telling you how I feel "after" it.

My mouth is parched and there's an oily taste in my oral cavity that I can't get rid of.  I feel hot like I'm feverish.  It's because all the sodium has dehydrated my body and there is not enough water in my system to keep me cool.  I want to drink water to rehydrate but of course, I'm too full to drink liquid.  I feel like there is a strange mass in my abdomen (a la Alien) and it sometimes pulses as if it has a heart beat.  Very disturbing.  (Any doctors out there who can explain this?)

I weighed myself this morning and I was 69.9kg.  Just now I got home and reweighed -- 72.3kg.  I'm not saying I ate 2+ kg of fried fish burgers but whatever went down the hatch is definitely taking a toll on my whole system.

Some of you ask -- why do you do this?  Are you a child and dimwit?  Answer: guilty as charged!

But the reason how this whole thing got started has to do with my love for McDonald's.  (Love you, Ronald.)  Every time I pass the Golden Arches, I just have this urge to go inside and get something, even if I've just eaten somewhere else.)

Pain and discomfort aside, this competition is kinda fun (in a sick way) and I was able to get a group of friends together to laugh and share in the joy.  And what can be better than friends laughing at each other on a Sunday afternoon?
