    Hi all

I am attending a project with a few friends, here on AnD.
    It is called Ghost Tunes.

    check here, for more info
    GHOST TUNES

In the next few weeks, all of us attending will post some songs on this space.
I am working already on mine, with a friend from Italy, DJ w4ller.

Here are the lyrics of the song

    Passing the CrossRoad

    I've got to slaughter you
    I'd like to slaughter you
    Fermenting poisonous
    Turning vile humans disgusting
If you care and you care for
your life and if you live on
If you stare and you stare at
your dream then your dream ends

    Passing the Crossroad
    Spreading around bones
    Stealing the wisdom
    Spreading around bones
    Passing the Crossroad
    Gathering wisdon
    Taking the kingdom

I've got to haunt you fool
I'd like to haunt you all
    I want to slaughter you
    I've got to slaughter fools
    Polishing kitchenware
Regret is the last of my nightmare

  • the difficult art of live mixing...

    Sunday, Jul 20, 2008 10:30AM / Standard Entry / Members only

ok, i am eventually fully awake, after the concert and a big rest.
it was a blast last night and thanks to all who have made it to the Cavern.
i think we also played quite well and i danced as a fool on stage, since our official dancer Cain from FBI was back in the DownUnder.

as usually, after the concert i've asked for comments and reviews to selected trustworthy people in the audience.
it is incredible how in almost every single concert all comments tend to be on the mixing side (which is totally out of our control).
I am really start thinking to get a mixing engineer as the 4th member of the band!

just to give you a taste of the comments i am starting to get used to receive, this is what i was told last night, from audience perspective:
    - voice was too low
    - guitar was almost non-existent
    - bass was extremely loud
    - backing vocal was loud

now, you can compare it to what i heard on stage:
    - voice was good
    - guitar was extremely loud
    - bass was low
    - backing vocal was good

and to what simon was hearing on stage:
    - voice was good
    - guitar was non-existent
    - bass was good
    - computer was extremely loud
    - backing vocal was non-existent

and to what shadow was hearing on stage:
    - voice was non-existent
    - guitar was non-existent
    - bass was non-existent
    - computer was good

well, someday i will have to figure out if:

    a) us and our friends are way too picky about mixing
    b) mixing is a complex alchemic procedure that systematically leaves you frustrated and unsatisfied
    c) we have done something wrong to clubs' mixing engineers who decided to boycott us
you can express your opinion, leaving a comment, if you want.

while we search for that perfect sound on stage, we will keep making music and enjoying performing live.

i hope to see you all again next concert, on August 30th at the Backstage.

    stay tuned for more updates

gosh, I have not posted anything for ages...
sorry, been busy with my job... jakarta, guangzhou, wenzhou, yiwu, shanghai... same old, same old...

This coming saturday we are going to play at the Cavern.
Please come and support us, if you can. Our next concert will be only on August 30th, so you do not want to miss this one.
We will play last, around 10.30 pm. Don't be late.

I and Simon, notwithstanding the job commitments, have more ideas that we could possibly squeeze into any pre-existing format.
Hence, we have created a 3rd project, after The Projects UK and Violent Jokes.
It is brand new, it is about Drum and Bass.
    It is SUSHI ROBOT.

You can visit HERE for more info.

    peace Cla

  • we are back - EP and compilations

    Sunday, Jun 15, 2008 9:50AM / Standard Entry / Members only

        yo!

sorry for the long absence... we were busy... on vacation!
I have just got back from Italy (had a marvelous trip to Umbria and Tuscany with my gf) and the bassmangriff went back to UK, while Shadow is taking a few days off early July.
Therefore, not much music these days, but hips of planning.
We are about to record an EP. We don't know how and when yet, but it will come.
Hold on with us about it.

One track of ours has been included in a compilation by Dr. Eggs.
    Check out the flyer.

Another two tracks will be out next month in Underground compilation. We have been at Koya's for recording and it was a total blast. Will post something about it later on.

    Peace.

    Cla
