Movie Review: Legendary Amazons/楊門女將之軍令如山

Answers the question “How bad can one film be?”

“This brick is more entertaining than our film.”

It was really kind of interesting to seee that a film this bad could still get made, released, and promoted.

“F@#$ you too.”

It was really sad to see Cheng Pei Pei sink this low.

“Not as sad as being this low, believe me…”

I’d guess that almost 20% of this film is undercranked. I can see why they did it with the action scenes. But they did it with things like people riding horses, dismounting them, and walking into buildings. It was weird.

“He doesn’t like my movie!”

This movie made An Empress and the Warriors seem like a great movie. Even though they both use obviously plastic armor.

“It shows?”

It’s fun to realize that the worst pictures Cecilia Cheung is in, career-wise, were not in fact directed by Edison Chen.

“Stick ‘em both up there, why don’t ya?”

The only reason to like this film is the last thing on the NG reel that plays under the credits. It’s awesome. But the 98.75 minutes you spend waiting for it are not.
