weekend silence

There are dayz when you just want to hear silence.

Today is one of them.

Take an hour out of your life....isn't that hard?

Think about all of those people that matter to you.

Can you count them with the number of fingers on two hands?

Take a step and breathe. Listen to the sound of that.

Close your eyes and let your imagination run a little wild ....go on....dare you.

Lucid dreaming

walk down the street and look around as you walk and look them in the face. Right between the eyes. Do you do that? or do you look away when they look?

What's important to you and only you if you did not think about others and consequence.

Can you let it go.

Can you do that?

Hey you might just fall asleep when you do this.

In my experience, people have 2 reactions to me really looking at them: it makes them very uncomfortable and they look away, or they can't help smiling (back?). But some of the reaction is, I believe, cultural. In the big cities of the world, people want to disappear into the anonymity of the crowd and tune the world out, especially on loud and crowded public transport (like subways). I have noticed that you get a much better response when you encounter someone in a park than in a subway car. In the park, they may even strike up a conversation with you. On the subway, they just clutch their purse or bags tighter. :)

True most people in developed places tend to look away... if you are caught staring at them... the feeling is one of suspicion or that person is totally whacko...whereas when you are in less developed places - people look at each other with more openess and smiles and inquistiveness....and you feel more at ease...
