Please help me :)

Hey,

This is a question about recording videos at home.  I really want to start recording videos of some songs that I'm working on or writing.  What would be the best way to record and get a good sound?  I've tried on my camera and the sound doesn't sound as good as it does when I record on photobooth.  Unfortunately, sometimes on photo booth the video will cut off for some reason...or the sound won't record. It's weird.  Anyways...I wanted to know if anyone has any advice for me??  Please let me know!!
