The Economics of Lifestyle and Travel

So, for anyone who knows me, you are aware of my penchant for being as optimized and organized as possible.  I’m constantly thinking about the best way to get things done, essentially tweaking the economics of my lifestyle.

Now, a lot of people tend to think of “economy” or “economics” in terms of finances, but I am using it by the definition of “the efficient, sparing, or concise use of something” or “the management of the resources of a community, country, etc., esp. with a view to its productivity”.  So for me...Read more

The Weekly Wushu Recap (8/9)

My, time flies when you are training hard(ly).

This week had its ups and downs, but for the most part it was good.  I’m keeping up with my conditioning workouts after classes, and this week I even had a chance to go check out Ding Wei’s new school in Fremont.  If you haven’t heard, the former Sichuan Wushu Team member has started his own school up.

Training at Wushu West

The Weekly Wushu Recap (8/2)

In my efforts to keep better track of my wushu training, I’m going to (try to) write up a weekly summary of what I’ve done over the past 7 days, both the good and bad, and figure out those things I want to focus on for the following week.  It is mostly just to keep myself accountable to myself, but I’m blogging it in case it helps any of the two people who read this blog.

Looking Back

A bit of background on my wushu training: while its true that I’ve been training for the past 14 years or so, I sh...Read more

Goals for the Weekend and My Wedding/Future Plans

So, I’ve been back in the U.S. for 5 days now. I’ve spent most of my time working and catching up on project. Just now I finally got my email inbox down to zero, so I’m celebrating by writing a blog before getting something to eat and continuing with my work.

I finally finished up all the blogging work from the summer China trip, which you can check out on narom.net. Lots and lots of videos and photos. I also put up all my wushu footage from this...Read more

We Are Alive (not dead)!

Been traveling around China and connection to the internet has been spotty so we haven’t been able to update the blog recently.  Today will be a pretty crazy day too, so you might have to wait until we are back in Beijing on Saturday for a catch-up entry.  Lots of touring going on though.  Many pictures upcoming.  Stay tuned!
