Q: A Battle you can't win, yes or no? | 假設性問題

Just wanna ask you guys a hypothetical question:

If you know you can't win a battle (the chance of winning is perhaps less than 1%?), will you still fight?

一個假設性問題想問大家:

如果有一場明知不能勝出的仗(勝出機會可能低於1%)﹐你會不會去打?

btw, i just went to see Big Man Japan at SFIFF, and it is definitely one of the most bizarre yet captivating films i have seen in a while, definitely worth to take a look for fans of japanese monster and ultraman films!

If the chance of winning was that low, I'd go into battle, but just bet all my money on the other guy.

depends on what the stakes are... but generally living to fight another day is the best way to go...

You do realize the soldier and the tank are both American and not engaging each other? As for the question, it depends on the fight, or the options.

如果是為了夢想的話, 管他要以一敵百, 都應該盡全力去爭取, 不過智慧一點, 要成功, 非一朝一夕, 一個好的將軍會為自己的目標而去計劃。

Sorry about the photo, then. Sometimes fighting is winning. The original (pre-franchise) Rocky is a great movie for that; he knows he can't win, but he just wants to go the distance with his opponent. If he can do that, he's won the struggle he defined.
