I’ve a confession to make, and I know for some of you this is going to be hard. I’ve been cheating on alivenotdead.com.

No, no, it’s okay. Take a moment. Let it sink in.

A few months ago, I was approached to write a column for That’s Beijing Kids, a magazine devoted to life in Beijing for people with, you guessed it, kids. Beijing Baba is a regular column in the monthly magazine that is shared by two writers. When the editors found themselves short one father, they searched for a competent, sane writer with kids. Failing in that effort, they contacted me. I know this will chafe some of you, my writing a bi-monthly column and a blog simultaneously, but try to understand, I’m only doing it for the children.

And while I’m on the topic of confessions, I’m also about to take a 10-day trip to Boracay to see if it really does have one of the greatest beaches on earth. That, and I felt AnD needed more beach photos. It will be a hardship. One that I will gladly endure for you. And the children.

See, isn't confession good for the soul? Lol you'll be hearing from my solicitor in the morning. Just joking of course-- it's great you're stretching those writing muscles, I think you have a lot of talent in that arena as well.

Ooh, now that you've brought up beach pictures, I'm remembering that amazing shot of the footprint in the sand. How shall I put this request..bluntly as I do everything else I guess..do you ever sell copies of a photo? Cuz if you do I'd sure like to purchase a copy of the Footprint...

Nice article, Chris. I've never knew that taking children's cold medicine makes some kids hyper. May it's kind of like if you take ADD medicine and you don't have ADD, then it has the opposite affect...

You see the medication works...we didn't say give it to Reina...! darn it - read the context. Ha ha ha ha.
and you are cruel about your trips - I am throwing a tantrum right now.....! Hope the magazine invites you to a kids party - where you have to be a dressed up mascot with lots of sweets in you pockets......that should sort you out!

Phew...that is a relieve (^_^) Beijing Baba, great title imo. Boracay is definitely one of the best beach but we'll be waiting for your verdict!!! Have loads of fun papa Chris..lol
