Now I want to see the movie again. It must be 15 years since I've seen it. So cool, from the 60s, back in the day when the Europeans were the masters of cool, and Americans were just risible country bumpkins (whether we were from the big city or Mayberry). I can't tell if America's cool quotient has increased, or if Europe has lost some of its hipness now that everyone seems to be imitating American popular culture.
