Singapore Tattoo Convention

If you've nothing to do this weekend... The FC's are just about to head off to the airport for the Singapore Tattoo Convention being held over the next three days. It's the first of its kind in Asia, and the line up looks great - including all of HKs finest - so it'll be good to see how it goes and what the response is. But it's not all tattoos for us, we've also got some wakeskating booked in on the new cable park and we intend to spend some much needed time in the warm sunshine and get away from this wint...Read more

A Good Start

January 1st, 2009. Here's hoping that the sun will rise in our lives every day this year, even if we can't see it through the clouds...

We Love Film

Lately over at FC HQ we've been re-acquainting ourselves with the joys of camera film and processing. It seemed that digital cameras created quantity over quality most of the time and severely lacked any spontaniety or excitement. So we've gone all old school and experimental with a few of our old snappy cams. Here's a few samples of Mrs FCs first excursions into the unpredictable world where light and moments collide. Welcome back film! We love you!

Ten Years of ROBOT

You can tell you're getting on when you realise that the mighty creative powerhouse that is ROBOT has just reached it's 10th birthday in Hong Kong.. Ten years of mad parties, magazines, major music festivals, stunts, happenings, spandex, exhibitions, puppet shows and anything else they decide to have a crack at... And you also know that their 10th Anniversary party is likely to be everything we love about Robot and then a bit more besides...

Check it out this Saturday - for some reason best known only to the boys at Robot,...Read more

Old Dogs & New Tricks

A week or so ago I "celebrated" my thirtsomethingcoughcough birthday and being a very spoilt and lucky boy, Mrs FC whisked me off to Phuket for a surprise week's vacation... In between a lot of eating, drinking, sleeping and messing about with baby TFC in the ocean,  I also got a day at the Phuket cable park. It was my first time wakeskating behind a cable rather than a boat, and the first time I'd had some proper obstacles to hit...

The result was a 2 cm cut on my head and a bruise the size of a melon on m...Read more

Battle of the Heavyweight DJs - NYE2008

Ding, Ding. Round 1...

Hot of the press is this poster and flyer I just completed for the mighty head to head New Years Eve throwdown organised by my old Dj partner AKW... Had a lot of fun doing this one and really looking forward to seeing the massive posters when they come back from the printers next week.

(And yes, that is me on the bill once again coming out of my (obviously bogus) retirement).

More details to follow.. Stay tuned..

SPECIAL TIMES EDITION BLANKETS U.S. CITIES, PROCLAIMS END TO WAR

Early this morning, commuters across America were delighted to find out that while they were sleeping, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan had come to an end.

If, that is, they happened to read a "special edition" of today's New York Times.

In an elaborate operation six months in the planning, 1.2 million papers were printed at six different presses and driven to prearran...Read more

UK Urban Artists in HK

Just a reminder that tomorrow night, Schoeni Gallery launches it's new collaboration with UKadapta with an exhibition of works from 5 of the UKs leading urban artists. The boys from UKAdpata and four of the artists are already in HK and just dropped by the studio, so I promised I'd give them another plug...

The exhibition entitled ATTENTION SPAM features artists Cyclops, David Bray, D*Face, Word to Mother and Vesna Parchetand runs Nov 14 to Dec 10.

It's all good stuff and it's good to see it over ...Read more
