Now that these have been given out - at a wicked party at W Hotel last Friday night - we can show the awards that we created exclusively for the I Shot Hong Kong Film Festival. The awards were all made by hand from old film canisters, stainless steel, plenty of gold paint and loads and loads of patience...

This is it.. My submission for the AND anniversary T shirt... Inspired in part by a comment on Dan F's profile page and in part by something my art teacher always used to say - with a little of the original ALIVE subversion and provocative attitude thrown in...

We've seen some of this before - but not this edit. Truly spectacular in every sense and has put the smile back on my face for the first time in a long while... Almost made me cry.

Here's one from my early design vaults - a piece i did in 1989 for my housemates band while I was a marine biology student at Exeter University in the UK. In true punk ethic, this was the crudely photocopied flyer that went with a self-funded 7" vinyl EP containing the Headless Chicken's "I don't want to go to Woodstock" alongside tracks by three other local punk bands.

Just got back from a truly refreshing two week trip to New Zealand to see some good friends get married. A couple of days in Auckland, a couple of days further north staying at a vineyard and the rest of the time chilling at their beach house (or "bach" as the Kiwi's call it) in a truly stunning part of the North Island, Ocean Beach.

A couple of weeks ago I was invited by W Hotel to create a piece of artwork for their "Wonderlust" themed group exhibition – opening at the official launch event last night. I left the whole thing way too last minute and as a result I'm really not happy with the way it turned out. I still like the concept, but the execution was weak and ameteurish.
Lesson learned: don't commit unless you have the time.
