HONG KONG MADE “LOST FOR WORDS” TO PREMIERE AT FILMART

Hong Kong filmmaker Stanley J. Orzel’s romantic drama “Lost for Words” will debut at the Hong Kong International Film Festival’s Industry Screening Program at this year’s Hong Kong Filmart.

The multi-lingual, cross-cultural independent production was shot entirely on location in Hong Kong.  The stellar cast is led by Hollywood stars Sean Faris (“Never Back Down”) and Will Yun Lee (“The Wolverine”), as well as Hong Kong actors Joman Chiang (“Fog”, “The Drunkard”) and Terence Yin (“Lara Croft”) and newcomer Grace Huang.   The film tells the story of two star-crossed lovers risking it all in pursuit of true love in cosmopolitan Hong Kong.

“This is a tale of how fate brought two ordinary people together in a big world,” comments Orzel. “The audience, especially international moviegoers, will be surprised and captivated by locations normally not seen on film.  Most Hong Kong actioners are shot in dark alleys and warehouses.  I want the audience to see the beauty of this sophisticated city.”

Next stop for “Lost for Words” is the 18 th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival in the US state of Florida on April 6 th, 2013.   Following this will be the west coast premiere at the 16 th Annual Sonoma International Film Festival in California.  The Texas premiere of the film will take place at the 47 th Worldfest International Film Festival in Houston.

“Lost for Words” is the second “Made in Hong Kong” English-language film produced by local company Studio Strada in the past two years.   Unlike most Hong Kong production companies, Studio Strada aims to produce movies that go beyond the Chinese-language markets.

Inception Media Group (IMG) theatrically released the company’s first feature “Four Assassins” (a.k.a. “Far Away Eyes”) in North America.  IMG just launched the film on VOD and DVD in February 2013.  “Four Assassins” was also released on DVD/VOD in the United Kingdom.   Upcoming international releases include Germany, Russia, Benelux, Ex-Yugoslavia and Australasia.   To date, “Four Assassins” has a wider international reach than any Chinese-language film at a similar budget level.  International Sales of “Four Assassins” is handled by Multivisionnaire Pictures.

“Lost for Words” is a Studio Strada production.  Directed by Stanley J. Orzel.

Screenplay by C. Joseph Bendy and Stanley J. Orzel.  Cinematography by Jimmy Wong.  Music by Andre Matthias.  Production Design by Siu-Hong Cheung.

Executive Producer is Richard J. Siemens.  The film is produced by Maria Lo-Orzel.
