the view was indeed breathtaking and it was the route which the characters from the novel 'journey to the west' took. although it was cold on the outside the train was warm with a good flow of oxygen because of the altitude (5000 odd miles up). It is not the orient express .. it was a normal rail and it cost us RMB$3700 to get a room with four beds. the funny thing about the train ride... we wanted to do take the train at first and decided to fly.. we checked in and had some noodles and missed it and instead of waiting for the following day we decided to take the train as planned.... and as to how long i am going to be in tibet for... i will be here till i find what i am searching for....
