GCS 004: "Meet Joe Black" by Martin Brest

Today a nex scene, the final scene actually from an old romantic drama starring the great Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins and Claire Forlani.

Meet Joe Black (1998) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119643/

A media mogul acts as a guide to Death, who takes the form of a young man to learn about life on Earth and in the process, fall in love with his guide's daughter.

Funny fact:

•

The most expensive film without special effects during its time.

•

Received a significant sales boost, as this was one of the first films the trailer for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace was attached to. This resulted in the near legendary occurrence of people paying full fare just to see the trailer, as well as a projected boost of those who stayed through the movie.

So here is the magic final scene, Enjoyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNGsm61m-BM&feature=related

That's one of my favorite movies. I missed out on it until I saw it on video then bought it again later on DVD.

the best movie from Martin brest for me is Scent Of Women. Man, Al Pacino starring inside and won an oscar, what else I can say? Meet Joe Black, the first time I feel talent from Brad Pitt, very nice movie.

Scent of a Woman is amazing and I'll show a scene from that movie in a later episode of this series! :-)

Yeah, I hadn't realized scent of a woman was from the same director. I love that movie as well. Al pacino...And what Reni said, MJB was the first movie I realized Brad Pitt had talent as well, and actually became a fan of his because of that movie.
