It’s 5am right now and it’s waaay past my bedtime.
I should’ve gone to sleep awhile ago… I gotta be up in just a few hours for a full day of editing, shooting, and meetings! Oi vey. What am I doing? >_<
Hmm. It's been awhile since I've blogged about anything personal. Peachies.net continues to be an occasional billboard for Asian Americans in entertainment as you can see.
I guess to bring y'all up to date... I've been working on a lot of random stuff. Editing, acting, producing... etc. It's been wild. It's been busy. It's caused me to have insomnia tonight.
I've been craving a lifestyle change for the past several months and I guess I've been moving towards one. Gotta take baby steps. Just trying to live a fuller life by being more active, eating better, and enjoying what's free. I REALLY want to start cooking. But first I need to learn! Baby steps... baby steps.
Just wrapped a short film directed by my friend, Jin Yoo-Kim. She's hardcore and going through film school at USC right now. She wrote a small part for me... character's name is "Grace!" Haha. Cast from film pictured below.
Oooh! For those of you who voted for “The Art of Fame” in the LG Fame Us! Contest… we won the Grand Prize! Sooo awesome. Eugene Lee Yang… super talented. Definitely a director to watch. I’ve worked on two projects with him now and he is just one of those people with a natural ability of doing everything well.
Arowana Films. I’m pretty much part of the crew now. I joked to Evan that they’d need to change their logo to include a girl. Haha. We’ll see about that… ;P Most recently, we’re wrapping up 1040 and we’re also working on a few other projects together… stay tuned…
So yup, it’s been pretty busy these last few months. This month is pretty intense. So intense I wasn’t able to travel to SDAFF or HIFF as I had hoped to. BUT! I’ll be traveling to Hong Kong and Taiwan at the end of this month through mid-November! I’m pretty excited about that. I’ve never been to HK… so I’m really looking forward to that. Going with one of my best friends and meeting up with another one in Taipei, so should be fun!
Normally, I would stop myself and criticize this blog very harshly for the way it’s been written… but today, I will just let it go and let this be.
OH! I know this has already been a pretty random blog, but I just wanted to give some major props to MY NINJA! and The Social Trust for their recent collaboration! The new shirts and photos look AMAZING, guys!!!
Speaking of photos, here’s one from the other day.
At Hugo’s. Photo courtesy of Jeannie Mai. I am sooo glad I got to see and spend time with Kathy Uyen (3 days in a row!). So good to see her back in LA for a bit. She just freakin’ won a Vietnamese Oscar, yo! For her role in PASSPORT TO LOVE… which I need to see, which maybe you can see, too, as it’s out in select theaters. I just had to plug something now, didn’t I?
Omg… this blog took me almost 30 minutes to write. o_O It’s time to stop and go to sleep.
I missed SDAFF too. Sooo mad I thought it was this weekend not last week...grr heh. I want to see Passport to love though, thanks for telling us about it.

FAQ: Why "Peachies"?
"Peachies" was a nickname given to Grace in her freshman year of high school because she would always carry a bag of Trolli gummy peach rings with her (back then, the candy was called "Peachies"... they are now "Peachie-O's" or something like that). The nickname stuck and Grace started using it as her username for various online sites (AsianAvenue, Findapix, Xanga, Myspace, etc.)
Today, most of her friends in the "industry" know her as "Peachies" as well.
And coincidentally, Grace's Chinese name is Pei-Chi!
