i used to be the only chinese kid partying in Manchester... they used to call me the china doll.....turning up at every afterhours spot..it was a network of people who had alot of passion for music and art...alot of interesting faces....most of the parties were held in the crescents.. they became prime spot for underground sessions.

CHARLES BARRY CRESCENT

they were built between 1968 and 1975 as part of a redevelopment of a notorious Slum  as emergency housing -  but became one of the worse social housing projects ... several flats were knocked thru for parties.. and the hippies and travellers used to bring their caravans, tents ...and park themselves in the open park  between the cresents below..

there were alot of really cool street art.. post later..in the nooks an crannies.. other places prior to getting pulled down...
