about the headline news "poison milk", i am totally speechless about it. what i do to say, most of them are in the newspaper, magazines and everyone else is talking them out loud. i am totally sad and speechless regarding this case.

in the meantime, i have encounter a not "so big problem" but make me realize all problems are generated by the same origin "the standard of people".

    1. i lost my mobile during the first month i arrived back to hong kong, i lost it in a taxi, not even an expensive phone, i tried to call to get in touch with the one who will possibly pick up the phone. and of course, the result is obvious - no one answer.

    2. i lost my wallet again in a taxi (stupid me, i just happened to withdraw several thousand dollars from the ATM because i need to fix my teeth). because of the last incident, i started to be careful everytime i get off from a taxi, i tried look back the seats before i close the door. it just happened i couldnt found my mobile, so i put back everything into the cab and try to find my phone, i find it but then i left my wallet in the seats. while i wanted to re-check again, the taxi driver immediately drove away with a high speed, which again, the result is obvious!!!!!!

    3. so finally, i got home and tried to reach the taxi station and ask them to help me make an announcement to hope that the taxi driver will be kind enough return the wallet even without the money. coz all my bank cards and identity cards are all in the wallet. then, i heard the most ridiculous things in my whole life - there will be a HKD380 charges for one announcement and another HKD280 for the second announcement. and you have to pay first before they will make the announcement. i said, "hey, i lost everything now, how can i provide a credit card for you to pay". their reply is "ask someone else to help you pay.

    4. gosh, there are so much more similar problems happened at my work right now but i am not in the position to tell them to you yet. which i shall reserve it until the right moment.

my last words are - if the quality of the people can never be changed. no matter what system we implentment, still no use.........

hey Pat, i agree with what you've said, i don't want to say so yet i personally think it is due to lack of morality education, but don't be that pessimistic becoz i still believe that there are many ppl, well, let's be specific, the cab drivers have integrity and conscience, it just takes time to pervade.
So cheer up and give them chances and time to improve.
    have a nice weekend~

this is just the result of people being too caught up with money making. they start losing the humane side of man that makes us such special beings...

They charge for an announcement? That's ridiculous. They're just shouting into a radio right? Those people do that all day long anyways. Don't lose hope in people. I had a friend that dropped his wallet in a taxi in Macau and the driver turned it into the police. When he went to the police station, they had his wallet waiting for him.
