Are women allowed rights?

We live in a patriarchal world. What is known as voting,became common to man and a big suffrage bra burning movement for women.

Women in the pre 19th Ceuntury days wrote/authored with pen names like George Elliot. Sure,that made a lot of sense. Because she's a George,therefore u buy her book.

Hence in the 19th Century,the working class created the notion of the New Woman,read Dracula: Mina Harker was heralding the "new" woman. Previously women were considered dangerous because of their scary sexuality,so they were depicted as monstrous. Check Mrs Rochester in Jane Eyre. The epitome of a woman who was an outcaste and kept hidden and locked from society and the world. Almost described as animalistic and un-human like.

What then is conduct,what then is perceived as decorum and to be the right kind of "lady"? So that u do not get brutally kicked out of society and grovel on your own. What is this "propriety" issue that everybody has to keep in line with?

Men get circumcised,so women start becoming part of this idea too. Except when we utter the word "circumcision" it's just a word. It's the removal of the foreskin of a male person's genitalia,do u actually know what gets removed from a woman during circumcision? No comments right? Why? Because religion removes anyone from talking. Or culture. Check saudi arabia's barbers conducting unlawful  circumcisions of little 13 year old girls with their dirty razors.

Let's not even go there. How about the chinese ideology that small feet is more beautiful.At a young tender infantile age,toes are mercilessly crushed,left to rot and bound by a huge white strip of cloth.

When asked about what feminism was as a concept,my peers chuckled and said it was about who paid for the date. It was about who opened the darn car door. I should have stabbed myself there. Alot of people mistake feminism as some kind of outcry rallying for bitter women who were previously spurned or they looked like 10 trucks ran them over with. Hell no. It's not sexism,feminism stretches from getting basic human rights of allowing a little female fetus,no,zygote to even have the chance to live. To a little baby,and a little girl growing up to go to school. To a grown woman having a chance at employment. To a mature woman hoping to not get slapped and cut by her husband. To a married woman hoping to leave the clutches of her psychotic husband by having the legal chance to also keep the children she carried for 9months of obesity and bled a whole lot before she actually sees a real human. And even then,if the gender of the baby is subjected to a bias,she may still be disregarded.

What about burning women with their deceased husbands?

What about resigned women with husbands that have harems.

What about women being sexually harassed in the work place by remarks meant as cordial jokes?

All these things are alright so long as U,the woman feels u are alright with it. Then it is not about the championing of women's rights,human rights or feminism. It is a personal choice and no subservient woman should be forced to be empowered and individualistic.

But if u're a woman hoping to have a shot in a society where the GDP of the country is 50 % lower than it could have been just because women were deemed unfit to work,then it is considered an obvious lack of rights.

Me, I just hate one thing.Anyone who hurts anyone. U can be a man or a woman or both. Just don't hurt others and deny them any chance at being themselves. I don't like hearing that people in various parts of China aim at keeping their youths by paying poorer women to get pregnant and then part with half made fetuses or placentas.

And,back in the old age,there was the matriarchal society. This changed with the Iron age. In the olden times the grandma was the head of the house. It really doesn't matter to me who is head or not head. But how it saddens to know that even the medical faculty will only allow a pre determined number of women for entry and that there is always a glass ceiling in corporate sectors. I will agree that the woman's biological functions can sometimes be against her abilities. Look if u're about to have hormonal change once a month,u can't make executive decisions.I can accept that until it becomes almost stupid in some cultures that woman are not allowed to eat with their husbands and kids. Tell me in what way,will eating with the husband u married and the kid u gave birth to soil the atmosphere?

Of course cheating is rampant,common and even accepted. Man and women both love doing it.So let's not talk about women with cheating husbands. How about cheating women? Or raped women? Why are women who get raped thrown into pig baskets and drowned along with adulterers?

Oh yes. About unwed mums. Why do boys and girls decide to get it on and then the woman's expanding tummy makes her an immediate sinner? But the guy still demands purity and sacred chastity when he finds a bride?I will assume your last name to mine,but it's unthinkable to assume u,the guy's to mine because? There isn't a proper reason except social stigma.

PS: I'm fortunate to have been born in an urban society,whatever i went through however will never compare to the atrocities done to so many untold others.im sure u've heard of Iman the supermodel who was a victim of circumcision and the other French model who died mysteriously in the river after telling her story to the world.
