    My malady

    An indomitable force, independent fly

    The earth stirs, unsuspecting gentle

    Silently in purposeful tip toe

Breathe I am to breaths inhale

Robust life and the world's vigour

    Gently graze her kisses hold

    Secret whispers to rythmic song

    Mounting this her stranger's chord.

    Stranger to none yet everyone

    Stranger than strange to anyone

    Wayward strange, soulful mild

Innocent grins the strange wild child

Strange no more her despair lunge

    Precipitated mourning to her strange

I kissed the wind goodbye today

Her loving touch my hair caress

    The rocky edges sometimes skin

    Our dead cells from within

Wait no more to grave agony

    Pretty dance the petty tears

    Fair and foul scorching sears

The wind will cast your stricken eyes

Dry and away her mantra lies.

Fables that end end not to begin

Where to start is that familiar art

    Sing that joyless Norwegian Wood

    In such blithe exceeding mood.

For Marie Jost. The sweet lady and her wise advice.

That is very nice of you, Lydia, to dedicate this poem to me.  Thank you.

BTW, I make no claims to any special wisdom--just lots and lots and lots of experience.  If my life, and its ups and downs, and what I learned it might mean, can give someone else comfort, hope, support, (or a good laugh), then I am glad.
