  One of Singapore’s most promising home-grown talents, JJ Lin’s musical career first took flight in Taiwan, where he was awarded Best New Artist in the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards in 2003.
  
  Back in his hometown, he was selected to perform the remixed version of Home in 2004, the year’s theme song for Singapore’s National Day.
  
  Signed onto record company Ocean Butterflies, he demonstrated incredible talent in song composition, writing for some of the most famed artists in the Chinese pop industry – Taiwanese powerhouse A-Mei, label mate A-do, Harlem Yu and Comic Boys' among others.
  
  Accolades continued JJ’s way, with him bagging several awards at the 2004 and 2005 Singapore Hit Awards.
  
  JJ Lin added acting to his portfolio in 2006 by making his small-screen debut opposite Ella of S.H.E in the hit Taiwanese idol drama, Hanazakarino Kimitachihe .
