I was up till 6am cranking out my budget sheet for my new project called “Rooks” (working title) when the weirdest thing happened to me. I fell asleep at my computer for a split second and when I opened my eyes I was typing a story about another upcoming project? I rubbed my eyes and looked at the Excel spreadsheet and laughed, I realized that I was dreaming about that story and was typing it into my spreadsheet. The grammar was all warped but I could still make out the story. Was I sleep-writing? I wonder if that’s even possible. Maybe I was halfway sleep and thought that I was writing that story? A thing like this makes me wonder about the untapped potential of the mind.

i don't have such problem, or should i say hidden talent? well, still, the human brain is another "space" that we haven't fully understand, who knows what's happening in there...

Yeah, the real human resources are scary, but only because we still don´t know enough about. But it´s also normal to carry the thoughts of the day into the sleep, D.Miles !!!
The potential for a new kind of story is there, asleep, hahaha !!!

very interesting, D. I bet you could double-time the screenwriting if you can find a way to record your sleep-thoughts. (2 diff scripts) Wouldn't that be nice?

You should try that more often.  I did that a couple times during college papers heh.  The weirdest time was when I did that but all the writing was just "ahshodod dogouthtnsog tosogjttn" and so on, but when I woke up I knew exactly what it was supposed to say and didn't notice it was mumbo jumbo until I told someone else to read it, (only a few seconds later).

But my point being, sometimes some really interesting stuff comes out of those sleep writing scenarios heh.

but that is kinda funny... I wonder if and when this ever happens to me, maybe my best design will come through my mind and to the computer... hehee... hmm... ;)

That's weird. Maybe you'd come up with some pretty good stories if you were unconsciously, sleep-typing like that.

It's like that having sex while asleep thing I wrote about.

Haha. I had that happen to me once when I was coding for my startup. Had an idea for a feature, and I was "sleep-coding"...very buggy code though...
