Patience – Confucius says do not be desirous of having things done quickly. Do not look at small advantages. Desire to have things done quickly prevents their being done thoroughly. Looking at small advantages prevents great affairs from being accomplished. I’m not a big fan of “Quotations” but I do believe in being thorough when it comes to my projects. I just don’t have the patience of others who lack the urgency or hunger to get things done. This current project is going to be the death of me with all the jockeying and negotiations between individuals that don’t have the same passion for filmmaking as I do… all they care about is the bottom line, the all mighty dollar! Times like this I wish I had a rich uncle that understood my passion and helped my get up when I fall down! I’m determined to see this through and I won’t let YOU down… I will succeed and accomplished my goal of chasing dreams! FYI – We (M Squad Entertainment) are in the final stages of funding three projects (package deal) with DY Sao attached… I pray everything goes as planned (fingers crossed). Thanks for letting me vent, I haven’t blogged in such a long time and felt I had to get this off my chest.

I can’t believe that I actually went 24 plus hours without any FOOD! I’m so proud of myself for sticking it out and finishing the challenge… now is off to bed. I’m going to need lots of rest in order to fill my stomach to the MAX! Thanks to my mid-day crew (DY, Tommy, Loan) for helping me get through the toughest part of the day! Today, after I wake up from my semi-comma of rest it’s off to the GYM to sweat with DY and then we’re putting Loan to work! Heehee! BTW, I kind of ripped the AnD shirt given to me at the mixer but in a good way! ; D

The new and improved D. Miles...

So I managed to make it through half the day, fasting… 

We took Loan Trinh out for lunch and I sat there watching DY and Tommy maul down some really good looking and smelling Vietnamese food. 

I was able to drink pure green tea, which I imagined was my favorite sweet Mango tea until I took the first sip. 

Ugh! I kept asking myself, “Self, why the hell are you torturing yourself like this?” I don’t have to fast but I challenged myself and I’m committed to see this through. 

I just feel sorry for my stomach because once I’m done fasting… I’m going to punish the hell out of it with a killer BUFFET!  j/k

I’m going to start on a 7-day cleansing program… Yeah, you read me right! I’m going to flush the bod for a solid week only consuming lean protein and complex carbs! All this for a 2-minute scene with DY in Rooks, which will probably be cut to 20 seconds! ; D

OK, crazy as this might sound coming from me… one half of the “Foodies” crew with my partner in crime DY Sao. I am going to challenge myself to fast for 24 hours! 

WHAT? Did D. Miles just say what I thought he did? YES! You heard or read me right! I’m going to fast for 24 hours straight only drinking water. I witness a mentor and friend of mine Diddy do this as part of his “Let’s Go” positive campaign and I thought to myself, “Self, if Diddy can do you so can you!” 

I’ve never fasted before – hell, I haven’t went without food for more than 3 or 4 hours before… unless I’m sleeping.  My last meal was around 9pm and my last sugar intake was at 11:45pm after my late night workout!

This is going to be a major challenge for me, but fortunately I’ll be in good company with DY and fellow AnD member Loan Trinh for a good part of the day! I just hope DY doesn’t tempt me with any food throughout the day? That would suck major #$%!
