I love New York!...again|我愛紐約！…又來了|我爱纽约！…又来了|I love New York!...again

Yes, busy I have been and thus the radio silence. After finishing The Last Supper, I had two commercials and a cameo to do in Tai Chi (the Stephen Fung directed film that we are producing with our new company Diversion Pictures) and as soon as I was done, I was on the plane to New York. What a relief it was to sleep most of the 14 hour plane ride here as I had been running on about 4 hours sleep for over two weeks. 10 years ago I could have done that easily but I'm no spring chicken anymore and it was tough!

Now I'm fully recharged simply because I'm in one of my favorite cities in the word New York. I love it here because I can walk the streets, take the subway and observe life in relative freedom. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything I have now and the support and enthusiasm that people have for me is awesome but it's nice to feel like a regular dude again. I am here to work on my first fully Western film, currently entitled Europa. I have met the cast and director and I am so excited to begin this journey with this wonderful group of people doing one of my favorite genres that is never done in China/HK (not done well at least), science fiction! I've also never spent a winter in New York so I'm looking forward to the snow and Christmas spirit. I feel there has been a strange relationship building between me and this city, something fate related that keeps bringing me back. I'm not sure why because I have been a West coaster all my life, in fact when choosing Universities I had several options to come here turned them all down. However, ever since I spent the summer here in 2007, I've been back for work annually: 2008 for Like a Dream, 2009 for a Chivas event, 2010 for the First Chinese Film Festival and now 2011 for Europa.

If this is a trend, I really like it.

現在我感覺又完全充足電了，只因正身處這世界上我最喜歡的城市之一，紐約。我喜歡這裏，因為在這兒，我可以相對自由地漫步於街頭，乘地鐵，觀察生活。別誤解我：我很感激現在擁有的一切；人們給予我的支持和熱忱也非常棒。但重獲普通市民的感覺也挺不錯的。我到紐約是為了拍我的第一部純西產的電影，現名《歐羅巴》。我已和演職員及導演會過面。深感興奮：要和這個很棒的團隊開始新的旅程，拍攝我在中國和香港都沒拍過（至少沒好好拍過）的、我最喜歡的體裁之一：科幻片！而且我也從未在紐約過過冬天，所以我很期待下雪天和聖誕氣氛。我感覺自己和這座城市之間有著一種奇異的聯系，一種命中註定的東西將我不斷帶到這裏。不知道為什麽。因為我原本這輩子都是個西部沿海居民。事實上在大學擇校時都有幾所這兒的學校可以上，但我都沒選。然而，自從我2007年在這兒過了個夏天後，此後的每年我都會因為工作來到這裏：2008年拍《如夢》；2009年芝華士的活動；2010年首屆中國電影節；以及現在，2011年拍《歐羅巴》。
