    October 25, 2010 marks the death of Sony's iconic walkman. This is the official day that Sony has stopped production on this game changing device. Born in 1979 the Walkman lasted 31 years but with the invention of Discmans and mp3 players like the ipod, I think the Walkman has been in low demand for at least 10 years. Good bye Walkman you served us Gen-Xers well!

    并非只有出生于1965年至1977年间的人才有这个东西的记忆，我家乡比较闭塞，落后全国十年左右，而那时中国的流行趋势又落后国外十几年，所以出生于1986年比你小整整一个生肖轮的我还是生活在这东西的影响之下的，我以前是买不起这东西，因为在家乡它很昂贵，1998年是1000多元，你自然是支付得起啦，可在我们那种地方，这是一台电视的价格.......后来是因为没时间享受，因为天天忙着画画，要考美术学院附中，再后来就是因为它太过时了，所以压根没用过，我是直接使用Discman的，我至今还是最喜欢discman，因为那种光盘在里面转动的感觉传递到手上的感觉很棒，仿佛能捏到音乐的本质.............

    er....that was my birthday....my mom once bought a walkman for me in japan...yet she told me that I was too young to use it and ear phone is no good for kids (I was about year 1 in primary school...)So I had not had a touch until I was a secondary school student....but I then realize that it was already the MP3 era!!

    I didn't know they still made them at all! Memories of hundred of hours of making mixed tapes come back to me now :)

    when was the last time you bought or listened to a cassette tape?   i used to have some in my old VW bus... but those were all old tapes I had left over from the 90s!

    I am very sorry Daniel WU for the awkward moment of your speech at Vietnam First International Film Festival.
