Back from Europe. Clear Hong Kong skies. How long will it last? Probably until the wind changes and blows the crap back from China.

Finished recent project for National Geographic Channel in Asia, directing and producing 10 year anniversary special called "Nat Geo's Top 30". The premise was for a countdown of the best 30 documentaries in the past ten years voted for by the public. Each night one Asian celebrity spoke about their favourite film featured in the Top 30. Thanks to OVF's Producer, Lindsay Robertson, who worked her butt off to get all the celebs, camera crews and studios together in the various countries we visited for filming. Thanks also to Lisa S, Jaycee Chan, Paul Wong, Terence Yin and Daniel Wu for their involvement as featured HK celebs and to Michael Wong and Ankie Black for their tireless work hosting the show each night in June. The series rated no. 1 in Asia on several occasions so thanks to all the viewers for tuning in.

Ocean Vista Films is now editing a pilot for a new documentary series on medics working in third world countries. The first show is about a little bloke from Mindanao, Southern Philippines, who required urgent surgery to remove an abnormal growth on his face that was threatening his life. A group of dedicated doctors in Hong Kong performed the life saving surgery, stitched him up and made him good as new. He's now on his way back to the Philippines and a more normal life.

Also working on a pilot for a new travel/adventure/food show, featuring boats, big toys, and leisure time.

Our big project in China at the moment is a motorsport production general entertainment reality tv series, which is currently being frustrated sponsor-wise by the Olympics.

In Hong Kong, we are gearing up with sponsors for the next I Shot Hong Kong Film Festival event, which will now be held in January. Independent filmmakers are being called on to show us their creative genius. The festival supports indie filmmaking in Hong Kong and gives new players a chance to meet the industry heavyweights, win prizes and have their work put up on the big screen. For more information about the event go to www.ishothongkong.com (Pls note that the website is being updated with information about the event in January but rest assured that it is ON!)

On the music front, working on original material for a new rock band. Fellow musos William and Ed are putting in long rehearsal hours but it seems to be paying off. Looking for a bass player but they seem to be in short supply in Hong Kong. Ok, I think it must be beer-o'clock.  Asta la vista
