  • The Akon concert

    After landing yesterday at 8 pm I went straight to the Asia World Expo to attend Akon's White Party concert. Thanks to my brother from another Reggie who hooked Jill and I up, we had an amazing time.

    Akon is a really great entertainer, the concert itself was not very fancy by any means, but he had the crowds dancing, screaming and taking off their shirts!!! It was like nothing I have ever seen before, he asked all the people in the back to join us in the front as we surrounded him at the center of the hall where he tried to crowd surf, altho he was unsuccessful a few times with his size, I really hope no one got hurt! 

    ....and no neither Jade sisters stripped... sorry boys!

    but it don't matter no more!

    Yeah, Chinese karaoke bars in Toronto have an actual KTV video for this song.  haha!

    I saw Reggie, but I didn't see the Jade sisters! :P

    I have to admit, after being out of the U.S. for the last couple of years, I'm not up-to-date on recent popular music, but Akon is def. one of the artists where you think you know one or two songs -- but then at the concert I realized that I knew, like, 10 songs from him... How many hits in such a short period of time??? He's definitely one of the best crowd-performers I've seen live... People got pretty crazy -- not typical for HK...
