Hey, I just saw AlivenotDead posters all over the place on my walk to the b-ball gym today. A partnership with .tom.com I think. I'm still not sure what that's all about 'cause I can't read Chinese worth doo-doo. But seeing all them thingys up was cool. Terence and his funny face with 15 other guys all screaming, jumping, horsing around to something. Good job Patrick and Stephen! Your penetration into the mainland is on.

Yesterday, on the day SmartShanghai ran a lil something fun on me: My Weekender, I got run into by a moped as I crossed the street to catch Transformers (not terrible, not great, just an extension of the 1st one). He wasn't going at a super high speed, but I didn't even see him. I was crossing one way and then I suddenly felt something big, heavy, and hard hit me in the leg. I was stunned at first, but I felt fine. He, however, had all his stuff he was carrying fall all over the street and he stumbled off his ride. He yelped, we kinda looked at each other, I looked at my leg, shrugged, and got out of the middle of the road. No harm, no foul.

Guess the guy didn't like my weekend plans.

Ah, Shanghai. I love you.

Reminds me of this old lady that mans a sex shop in one of those streets in Shanghai. For some reason she would shout at me in Shanghainese and shoo me away with a feather duster everytime I pass by (prolly cursing me for that one time I went in and did not buy anythign.. ) heh.

yeah, we just did a launch party with tom in Beijing too. we're partnering with them in the Mainland to help raise our profile and drive traffic to the artists' pages. it should be a win-win for everyone, us, tom, artists and fans. ;-)

Brian is a Chinese-American actor who was born in Columbus, Ohio, raised in the Bay Area, California, and currently lives in New York, New York. While at school at UC Berkeley, he fell into acting by taking a Dramatic Arts course for fun and he's never stopped since.

He began his acting and modeling journey as a model in the Macy's Passport Fashion Show in San Francisco before making a stop in Los Angeles for a couple years before eventually setting into New York. Along the way, he's worked in film, television, and theatre as an actor.
Stage highlights include "Free Country" at the San Francisco Asian American Theatre Company, the Pulitzer-Prize winning play "Wit" at the Philadelphia Theatre Company, and "OneFamilyOneChildOneDoor", a play about China's one-child policy, with the Yangtze Repertory Theatre in New York.

Brian has had parts on General Hospital and VIP with Pamela Anderson on television and has done commercials that have aired worldwide for HSBC, Buick, The Wall Street Journal, and Microsoft. On screen, he was perhaps best known for his role as "Little Yu" in Alice Wu's 2005 Sundance hit "Saving Face" where he was Joan Chen's younger secret love. At the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, Brian's short film "Red Shoes", directed by Singaporean director Li-Anne Huang, made its premiere.

He's also had print campaigns running globally for companies such as: Goldman Sachs, Toshiba, Microsoft, and Royal Carribean.

Recently, Brian has turned his attention to producing as well and thus has started a production company, 408 Films, along with some partners, with the intent of producing features that hold international cross-over appeal.
