Suiting up for Gobie

Olivia channels her inner blue reindeer

I made my first foray into 3D animation with the T-Films production Little Gobie, and I'm constantly amazed at the different aspects of this unique artform. I'm previously made primarily live-action movies with lots of action, and these don't necessarily lend themselves to major merchandising opportunities.

'Little Gobie' is about a little blue reindeer who sets off on a journey to find Santa to claim three Christmas wishes. This film has proved to be 3D in a way I couldn't previously have imagined: we have toys, t-shirts, posters and... 

Producer Charlie Wong and director Tony Tang commissioned a full Little Gobie suit so that we could stage mall appearances to promote the film. My 'little sister' Olivia Yang came in to the office, and volunteered to test drive it!

It turned out to be a perfect fit, and so Olivia will be our 'go to' Gobie for future events.
