Trekking through Paris...

One of the first things Mr Ling (moi producer) and I did upon arrival was to go out and film at all the major Parisian attractions. So I was running around the Lourve, across the Seine River among many other random things.

Here's me standing outside the Opera House. Its just one block from The Scribe, where I was staying.

On the other side of the Opera House is the Music Academy. Here's a shot of it at night.

This is Mr Ling. What a tourist! Posing for me... Wuahaha! Nah, seriously, he isn't the posing sort. He was kinda waiting for me to catch up with him. Yes, he moves faster than me!!! Ok, then again I was like looking around and taking in the scenery and all, so you can't blame me right? Plus I was happily snapping pictures, so obviously I would be slower. Duuh...

Mr Ling Shooting the St Pierre de Montmartre church. Funny how he has to squint one eye even though he is looking at the LCD screen... hehehe.

I believe we were on top of a hill in a place called Montmartre Village. This is the only place I did not visit the last time because I was moving around by bus and metro. This time, there was transport so there was no problem getting there. Speaking of transport, here was our ride: A Mercedes C-200 I believe? And that was our driver for the day, Monsieur Ludovic. He was super helpful. He knew I wanted to get a phone card, so while we were filming he went to buy one for me. And he got the best deal too! Woohoo!

There were lots of people at the Montmatre Village, as you can see. Lots of food, people selling artwork and artists selling their portraiture services. It was packed man!

And so there was this long que. And in typical Singaporean fashion, not knowing what the damn que was for, I also que... Lo-and-behold, I had a real treat at the end! TADA!

Gelato... MMMmmm... yummeee....

Ok stop drooling. So from the top of the hill we could see a pretty wide view of Paris. Sorry I didn't have a panoramic cam, so i had to just cut-and-paste 2 stills together :s ...Hey at least I matched the sky. :P

and if you look closely enough, there is this park there which looked awfully familiar... the carousel, the hoards of people... I believe there was a scene in Amelie, in which Audrey Tatou went in search of the photobooth guy, and she ran past this park? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Cos it sure felt awesome to be standing on "holy ground". LOL.

On the way down, we drove past Pari's last vineyard. It looked damn sad la. Just a tiny plot of land. It didn't look like very much. In fact, it just looked like it was somebody's backyard.

Here's moi at the entrance to the Lourve. Those famous pyramids at the back served as the back drop for "The Davinci Code". Yet another "holy ground". No pun intended.

As you can see, I was TRYING to look busy. Hey, I was working ok. And here's my proof.

See, I'm holding a camera. Um... filming filming.

Everybody's favourrite place. Le Effiel Tower. Over rated, if you asked me. But I would take the love of my life there anytime. ;)

And apparently, I had a close brush (well technically not that close since i was in a car, but still...) with a French Celebrity, actor Francis Uster. I had no idea who he was. I still don't! Ludovic claims he is a very famous theatre/movie star. I tried to google him, but nothing i googled looked like the man in my photo. I'm referring to the one in the background btw. The guy in front is just the clapper guy, i should think.

And after a long day's work... REST! Here is moi room. Aahhh....

And to top it off, I ordered in. Was still beating the jet lag, so I didn't want to go anywhere for dinner. This was dinner: French Onion Soup, & Poultry Fillet. I swear that fillet looked like a roll of bread. I almost wanted to call them (room service) and ask "where is my chicken?" LOL..

ok, Next entry... we trek the stars... Good stuff, cannot bluff!
