This is a pretty huge statement. The Department of Justice has basically said that they support the peaceful protesting of the pipeline and that "this case has highlighted the need for a serious discussion on whether there should be nationwide reform with respect to considering tribes’ views on these types of infrastructure projects." The problem is that the pipeline was pushing forward without having a clear legal right to do so. The corporations lost this round and peaceful protest won.
This post is for the designers. As someone who reviews artwork daily - I would reject all the flags. I'd probably fire everyone who submitted them too except for New Mexico and Texas. Of course I'm looking at it from a 2016 perspective - but should flags be redesigned to keep up with modern aesthetics? I think the problem with most of these flags is that most of them were designed in the style of the fashion of the time which was literal and impressed by detail.
This is my conspiracy theory: GOP was not happy Trump got the nomination. They couldn't stop it. But what they can do is push for him to win and then impeach him (because he will do something impeachable) and then let the VP take over. This is why Trump didn't get the VP he wanted (apparently). Meanwhile they get a load of people to the polls for their congressional positions and they get to put supreme court justices in place.
This is something I'd actually noticed, I didn't know it had been given a name. You can actually find similar phenomenons (but different patterns) in other past eras.
Photography + Cats + As Mythical Beasts = Posting it.
For my friends who are not in LA. This is more true than you'd think.
Another great quick and easy to understand reference for what the difference between lens angles does to faces. (And why generally people want to be shot at 50mm or higher.)
Sounds likes a political thriller movie - but might actually be reality.
There is so much disinformation about "health benefits" of alcohol because no industry spends more on propaganda than the alcohol industry, that I thought I would share an alternate study that will get very little attention because there is no money to be made by it.
Of all the events of the RNC, this is the one that stood out to me as the most defining.
