Album re-recording (Dec-2010)

As you know we have been delaying the band's debut album for such a long break, we finally looked for a new partner (new post-production team) and just finished the re-recording process last week. Life is tough during the week as everybody just keep running their daily jobs in daytime and rushed to record after work until late midnight everyday. But it's true, we all enjoy this and we believe this should be how great things come out. Let's share with you some snapshots that we had during the recording week.

樂隊的專輯製作進度早已遠遠超出了預算，我們亦已於不久前找到了新的合作伙伴(新的後製團隊)，剛過了的一星期我們便完成了重新錄音的工作。這一星期來，大家每天都是白天一大早工作，工作過後便怱怱的趕至錄音直至深夜。過程雖苦，但我們實在都很享受，而且我們都相信所有好的東西都是會經過這些過程的。跟我們回顧一下我們上星期錄音的過程吧！

Finally we have the recording process started again. Since our room was not designed for recording purpose in the very beginning, what the sound engineering needs to do once his arrival is to give an easy renovation to the room. See how we arrange the recording area and operation area?

錄音的工作正式再度展開。昨天錄音師一到步，隨即動手把我們的練習室調較成適合錄音的格局。由於我們的房最初設計的時候只準備用作練習，沒有預算用作十分認真的錄音用途，所以裝潢的配置都有所缺陷。看我們就這樣把房間分隔出錄音的空間及錄音師的「工作室」。

Things just running very slow. We spent most of the time in setting up the environment and to obtain the sounds we want. We even used some abandoned washroom wall boards to give the sounds some echoes.

錄音進度十分緩慢，頭兩天的大部分時間都用了在環境及器材的設定上。看我們把在附近撿的破洗手間門板也用上了。

Late midnight, we're in the room, even Mickey felt asleep.

Although it's now December and getting cold, mosquitoes are still playing around happily. Honestly it's a bit annoying to be disturbed by mosquitoes during recording. See the "fake mosquito coil incense"? You see how talent our people are. The point is, seems that it really works. Well, super natural power......

都已經十二月了。雖然天氣開始明顯轉涼，但昨晚的蚊子不知為何特別多，邊錄音邊拍蚊子真的有點困擾。到後來不知誰竟自欺欺人的弄了個「偽蚊香」安慰自己，然而卻又真的好像生效了！真的超自然......

Today's weather just suddenly cold. It's midnight and we're still working hard. After the whole daytime work for his daily job, Kev just wonder a short break during the night.

今晚突然轉涼了，現在還在錄音中。連日來於白天忙碌工作後晚上立刻趕赴錄音真的會疲倦，繼米老鼠後，毛球人Kev都快累倒了。

Excluding the 1 hour for dinner, we locked ourselves in the room for 13 hours, not even stepping out the door.

剛回到家，不計吃晚飯的一個小時，今天我們留了在這房間十三個小時，完全沒有外出。

Last day for the recording week. Everybody still rushing to finish his own part. You know which song we're working on now?

今天最後一天錄音，大家都在趕要完成自己的部分。你看到我們現正在錄哪首歌嗎？

Sometime it's boring when it's not your turn and be kept waiting. For sure we need some entertainments here.

錄音這麼費時的過程，在未到自己埋位的時候，當然要找點樂子消磨時間。
