Thank You

Recently,  I have had the opportunity to be involved in a couple of amazing skateboarding contests in Hong Kong.

I’ve had the privilege to judge these contests with some of

the most respected skateboarders in Hong Kong .  These guys have been skateboarding for many years &  I for one, truly respect them & their love, skill & knowledge of skateboarding.

To me, the most important thing in skateboard contests would be the integrity of the judges, this ensures the contest is fair & therefore the results are fair.

The judges may not always share the same views, but that is why we have a judging system in place to ensure the overall judging is fair.   Here are some examples of the judging system that we used for Converse event:

**  Judging Criteria, Competition Format & definition of the terms:

“One Minute Run”, “10 Seconds”,

“Last Trick” & “Times Up”  **

Daryll, Andy, Ryan, Ho Yin, Kit, & Flow, thank you all for working together & being awesome.

Equally as important are the people behind the contests, the brands, the sponsors, the DJs, the MC etc etc who all worked together to make these events successful.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone else involved in these events, from the sponsors to the skaters that participated to the spectators, the photographers, all staff members, the friends & the friends of friends , EVERYONE!

These events wont be events without you all.

It was awesome weekend for me.  Two days of skateboarding through brutal sun & rain.

Thats why I love skateboarding, its people like you that really make it count.

Congratulations & big ups again to everyone involved, overall these were amazing successful events & I’m proud to say Hong Kong Skateboarding is heading to yet another level for sure!
