A customer at a McDonald's restaurant in Newport News got more than she bargained for when she received her order. Katherine Ortega said she found a fried chicken's head in the box of chicken wings she ordered Tuesday night. She made the discovery at the McDonald's in the 15000 block of Warwick Boulevard.

Ortega said someone who wasn't looking closely could have easily mistaken the chicken's head for another piece of chicken, like the leg or a wing. The chicken's beak, the comb on top of its head and some feathers were visible.Ortega said she wants to know how the chicken's head could have made it past inspectors and into the hands of a customer. "I usually look at my food, but I shouldn't have to look that closely to see that. My 5-year-old probably wouldn't have looked. He probably would have thought it was a chicken leg and eaten it," Ortega said. The manager at McDonald's offered Ortega another order of chicken and offered to return the chicken's head to the distribution company. Ortega declined.

You may be shaking your head, disgusted and disappointed, or may be not. I m aware this is not news to most of you, what i m trying to tell u is the following conversation i had with a colleague in beijing china:

me: (having explained the incident) this is ridiculous dont u think?

colleague: ..........................

me: well?

colleague: i m not sure what u mean, did they (macdonalds) do this on purpose?

me: wth do u mean??

colleague: i mean, may be they are trying to promote a new delicacy, u know? 

me: ........................ WOW

i swear the above conversation is genuine. teehee! | 有些人會覺得下面所寫的東西令人不安，有些則不：紐波特紐斯麥當勞快餐店的一位顧客在她收到訂餐的時候，發現遠遠超出了她的預期。據凱瑟琳.奧特加稱，她在星期二晚上收到麥當勞的訂餐，裏面本應是雞翅，卻變成了炸雞頭。這次發現是位於沃裏克大馬路15000號街區的麥當勞店內。

奧特加說要是有些人不仔細看的話，會極有可能把雞頭誤認為是雞腿或雞翅。而且像是雞嘴，雞冠，還有一些羽毛都是清晰可見。

奧特加始終搞不明白，雞頭這種東西到底是怎麽逃得過檢疫，還能堂而皇之地到消費者手中。她說道：“通常我都會留意下自己的食物，但是不會那麽近距離地去觀察。我五歲的兒子更不可能去留心，他會覺得這就是雞腿，然後解決掉它。最後麥當勞經理決定送奧加特另一份訂餐，把雞頭返回給配送公司。不過奧特加拒絕了。或許大家會搖頭，覺得惡心，感到失望，或者都不。我也知道對於大多數人，這已經不算是什麽新聞了。不過我真正想引出的卻是這段與一位北京同事的對話：

我：(已對他詳細說明了該事件)這挺荒謬的，你覺得呢？

同事：。。。。。。。。。。。。（無語中）

我：嗯？

同事：不太確定你什麽意思，你覺得麥當勞這麽做是故意的？

我：你又是什麽意思？

同事：我覺著吧。。。。。他們可能是想要促銷另一種新口味，你覺得呢？

我：（無語中)。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。wow
