It has been a while since i pay attention to canto pop, let alone getting addicted. I cant help looping this song today, it has probably repeated more than 30 times. The voice is presumably fresh and young, but the tone and skill suggest otherwise, i just love how the lines are delivered in chorus, how it is seemingly out-of-breathe but not quite. Next, the lyrics, definitely my cup of tea. For those who dont understand cantonese, though i have no idea why it is titled 17 degrees, it is basically about lovers at past become strangers at present(or simply strangers), how they intersect at one point and fade out at another - ppl fade out quick, and theres nothing u can do about it. On this context it is some what similar to a song of my own- 'distance of two stars'(兩顆星的距離).
This song, 17 degrees, sang by Kay Tse (謝安琪), is comprised in her new coming album Binary; in my opinion, this song stands out from the other tracks by far, check it.
