Written, directed by, and starring Jim Chim.

For those three (and other) reasons, f@#$ him.

Lazy, cheap, slapdash, and just plain annoying,   Microsex Office/潮性辦公室 made me sick.

Movie Review: Virtual Recall/異空危情

Oh Dear Lord this movie was awful.

But it was fantastic.

90 minutes of cinematic train wreck that had me laughing so hard I needed an adult diaper.

Too bad I didn’t have one.

But since we were in the splendor of East Tsim Sha Tsui’s Chinachem Theatre, I doubt anyone noticed.Read more

Movie Review: A Beautiful Life/不再讓你孤單

A shitty film.

I’ve put off writing this review for some time, since I frankly just don’t want to have to think about the film.

Movie Review: Punished/報應

The original film was surprisingly good, featuring convincing acting, strong direction, and a n...Read more

Movie Review: The Lost Bladesman/關雲長

Last Sunday at 8:00AM, I found myself wandering around Causeway Bay. Which is not in and of itself unusual.

What was odd about it was the timing; for the first time, I was in that place at that hour at the beginning of my day rather than at the end of it.

And yes, Causeway Bay at 8:00AM on a Sunday is as interesting and exci...Read more

Movie Review: A Chinese Ghost Story/倩女幽魂

A lot of people were incensed that Wilson Yip would ‘remake’ a HK cinema classic. But he says that its a re-telling of the story and not a remake of the film.

If the Coen brothers can do the same with True Grit ...Read more

Movie Review: THOR/雷神奇俠

“雷神奇俠” translates as ‘Raytheon Fairy.’ Whatever the f@#$that means.

Do not attempt to adjust your computers.

You read the subject line correctly, and I am indeed Sean Tierney and not some angry young Chinese hacker making me pay for my...Read more
