Red Dawn of the Dumb

No, this is not a diatribe against the Red Dawnremake.

This issue is, sadly, all too real.

The People’s Republic of China is currently undertaking an approach to suppression that we haven’t seen since the Cultural Revolution.

The Chinese government does not even have any domestic legal right for this; according to the Chinese constitution, people are allowed the freedom of expression.

Until, of course, they express something that the government doesn’t like.

The Party has shown yet again that it is morally, ethically, and socially bankrupt and that it puts its own interest far above that of the people it claims to lead and care for.

*The CCP has no regard for domestic or international law.* Yang Hengjun, an Australian national, was detained for several days without being given an opportunity to speak with anyone from his embassy.

Ai Wei Wei, a globally renowned artist, is currently being detained.

Which brings me to my main focus…

What gets me most upset about all of this is the hubris of the Party. Their ‘answers’ to questions are so bizarre that I sometimes have to ask myself if I heard or read it correctly. American politicians do the same thing, but at least we have the capacity/privilege of calling bullshit when we see it.

To illustrate my point, I made a video. The voices are NOT overdubbed.

It is time the people of China rid themselves of this cancerous, filthy organ that leeches off the nation.

China can and will be a great, marvelous member of the global community, but not until it joins the rest of the world in consigning Communism to the trash heap of history.

If communism is so fucking great, why do they need fences to keep people in?
