Move, Will Ya???

Yes I will. The housing boom in Hong Kong means that lots of landlords are choosing not to renew leases and instead are just selling. This means I had to find a new home.

I did.

This will be the 'office'; I will do guitar maintenance here...

The view from the office; lots of greenery. Cooler, but more mosquitoes. If I leave the windows open, which I don't!

Other office window, half eaten by a cabinet. That piece of blue is the pool. Sunbathing grannies... yeaaaahhh baby!

My bedroom; the desk will probably hold a computer. Since I don't exfoliate.

The [blurry] view from my bedroom; note pool.

The front door as seen from my room. Now there's a brand new Ikea sofa and TV table in there, left and right respectively.

This also looks much cleaner now.

That sink comes to about my knees...

The kitchen looks a LOT better now, having been cleaned. There's a washer and fridge in there too. I have to squeeze between them, but that's HK for ya!

A friend actually lives in this building, which I didn't know; here Sidney convinces her that she need not move just because I live there now.

The living room, from the bathroom. Again, there's a couch there now.

And a TV table here. Tomorrow, it will have the TV.

Living room and office.

L-R: Kitchen, Bathroom, my room, and Sidney's sister Jacqueline.

Looking down from the office. There are khoiin that pond.

That space between doors is where my Guan Yu statue will go.

I actually bought it. Figured it was easier. Got a good price, and it overlooks the swimming pool. Which means lots of screaming kids and guys in swimsuits so small they make me want to use Clorox eye drops.

And tomorrow, I will move there. It's still in Tai Wai, but on the other side of the train station.

Tomorrow is good moving weather; Yahoo calls it Scattered Thunderstorms. Hong Kong calls it a #3 Typhoon Warning. Maybe I'll just float the boxes across town...

Oh, and a special shout-out to the delivery guys!

I admit, I sometimes find life in HK a chore, mostly because of the people. But I wanted to acknowledge all the delivery people I ever dealt with. These guys bust hump, work fast, clean up, and are extremely professional in ways that I understand and appreciate. It makes moving easier, and I am grateful.
