Rise and Shine

This entire week has been a very interesting daze for me. I have been feeling rather unsettled before going to bed and then I find myself reluctant to wake up. My spirits are always rattled when change is upon me and I have to readjust again. I’m leaving for Asia in less than 4 weeks, my body is starting to build the anticipation while my mind seems to be overwhelmed with thoughts and schedule changes.

I’m heading back to spend some time with family and friends who have been dearly missed. At the same time I’ve got a few more opportunities to keep me busy and my schedule is starting to pack up with events and meetings. But there is a quiet sense of relief as I left in April 2011 anticipating my journey ahead, and now I have succeeded beyond my own expectations!

It’s hard to plan life when one doesn’t know what the future holds but I think persistence and perseverance can sometimes build a base for bigger opportunities, especially when it involves hard work. Life is always going to throw you lemons. Sometimes you get good ones, sometimes u get bad ones. Sometimes other people only get good ones while some don’t get any at all. But there’s no sense in comparing or peeking at others if you don’t even know what to do with your own lemons. Make lemonade, make it well and make it the best of it.

I’m hoping I can snap out of it and just enjoy this calm before the storm with awesome people that have been supportive since the beginning. Although I’m off to Malaysia for a few months, it feels like it will be a character defining moment when I return. Especially to be glad that I stuck with my guns even though times were tough.
