If you haven't picked it up yet, you gotta check out the Skate First DVD by our good friend Nigel Ong. It features HK skaters teaching you some of their favorite tricks and also has footage of pros that came through town.  The soundtrack includes local artists like Audiotraffic, 24Herbs, Qiu Hong, and myself.  Check it out!!

Nigel put a lot of hard work into this DVD and I think it came out really good.  It's nice to see local skaters and world famous pros hitting the same spots. The biggest trip for me was watching Eric Kosten and Chris Haslam skating with my tune playing in the background.  That's like a dream come true!  I remember watching Ray Barbee in Public Domain back in 88' and thinking how cool would that be to have your song playing in the background.

It's cool watching friends tear it up.

    Here's the trailer!

Here's a couple of "Skate Diary" episodes we did for the public buses last year. Nigel filmed and edited all 16 episodes while Brian from 852/24Herbs, Sam Lee, and Lee Hawk came down to support.

Also huge thanks to Oli@Element for all the fresh new gear.  I've been stoked on their "Power to the Planet" campaign which focuses on using production techniques that are less harmful to the environment.

I also got the new Element X Imaginary Foundation deck.  It's got good pop and a pretty cool design.......

......that's until I went to Mei Foo the next day.....haha!

    Hi, Ryan.

I am a social worker from the Salvation Army. We've organized a carnival in So Uk Estate on 27/6 (3-6pm, Sat), where your father, Uncle Michael, Uncle Ricky and other family members have lived during their childhood and teenage. Since So Uk Estate will be demolished on September, we've planned to organize a carnival with all the residents to farewell So Uk.

We would like to invite your father, Michael Hui, Ricky Hui and other family members to join us. So Uk residents and we are looking forward to listening to their sharing of their past livelihood. You are welcome to make a performance too! Pls pass this message to them and give me a call when you are free.

Beyond Wong Ka Keung was lived in So Uk Estate too, is it possible to have all of you (+Scott ) to make a performance on that day?! Looking forward to your great show!!!

    Thanks!

    Simon Liu
