I've been supporting Ecovision's environmental events too for the past 3 years now. Growing up here in Hong Kong, I've seen first hand the results of pollution we've created. I'm very concerned for our future generations. We all read everyday in the news how the condition is getting worse and worse. So indeed it is definitely time to do something about it. As a means to stand against global warming, we need to focus on the 3Rs Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and apply them in our daily life, be it at school, at home, in the office and even when shopping. I'm sure most people have now heard about how quickly the ice berg's are melting in the north and south poles – this is a very significant signal of global warming. Some people in Hong Kong may not realize how serious this is since it's happening so far away from us. But what about what's happening right here in Hong Kong? Almost everyday we can't see much blue sky, in fact, we can barely see across the harbor some days!

The opening of an exhibition featuring amazing recycled material designs in an eco fashion show "Discarded to Divine", was held on the 10th of April in Cyberport for Earth Day. It was an opportunity to see how easy it is to make something fabulous from commonly discarded urban Hong Kong items that were on their way to the landfill.  Check it out, the exhibition is on going for the next 12 days.
I have made a pledge to do more. Please join me!

Totally agree. We all need to take ownership of the different ways we contibute to this pollution and be honest about it rather than ignore it. Everyday we add to the pollution so we need to give back. It's never too late or too little.

I carry empty 'cloth bags' in all my bags to pull out and use for any kind of shopping and recycle every material possible in the house.

No excuses. Anyone can do it and everyone should.

I'm all for reduce, reuse, and recycle. It really kills me at work to see people throwing their newspapers and papers into the trash can. I end up reaching in there and throwing everything into the recycle bin.
