Kathy Took Clouds and Killed Two Cows

“Kathy Took Clouds and Killed Two Cows.”

A title that popped in my head as I was pouring coffee in my cream.

Yes, I know what I just wrote… just wait until I start writing the farable about it.

Casting for, “Both Bitter and Sweet Was Persephone Inside Most Incomplete”, is finished! We had many wonderful actors show up for the casting call and everybody took a unique approach to the part. It was a hard choice to decide who to choose, but choose and chose I did do.

I am most pleased to announce that the role of Persephone will be played by Alex Lazar who is pictured below…

Alex has a wonderful innocence about her… combined with a somewhat tragic aura that seemed to hover over her as she auditioned for the role.

Auditioning, however, was the easy part. Now it’s a matter of honing every look and movement for the dozens of individual shots that require exact timing. Since this short film is narrated, and is not going to “edited” by means of traditional cuts, the fantastical flow of the story must be constricted within the narrator’s oration – otherwise the pacing will be stuttered and coarse.

I will reveal who shall play Persephone’s cruel guardians on my next announcement.

Always more to write… but as you all know, blogs become yawns when written too long.
