“Diary” is a 30-minute mockumentary about an actor who is out of jobs, and decides to make a documentary about his life. He soon realises that making a documentary is not entirely about capturing reality. “Diary” is a satire about the film industry, and a tongue-in-cheek behind-the-scenes look at the harsh realities of this industry.
Supported by the Singapore Film Commission, “Diary” is a ambitious venture by Sean Li-wen Cheong, in which each scene is filmed with a single shot – in line with the premise of the documentary film. This entailed quite a few rehearsals before each take. The cast & crew were all easy to work with, and so I enjoyed myself on this production. I played a girl whom the Man ( Edric Hsu) was obsessed with.

We had a screening tonight at the director’s place, and it was good to see everyone together. Somehow, this is one of the reasons why I enjoy working on independent films – the passion, the joy, the camaraderie.
On that note, I’m having an actors’ gathering at my place tomorrow to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Looking forward to it. Happy TIGER Year & may your careers, businesses, families, finances, personal endeavours all prosper in the year ahead!
