One World Part 4: The Animal lovers of Oz

13 commentsI think everybody already knows that I’m the type of person who loves animals. It doesn’t matter if they’re big or small or wild, I always feel that they are my good friends. And since I’ve been given this opportunity to visit Australia, of course I have to visit some of these long distant friends! From what I’ve been told, because Australia is surrounded by the sea, it has been well known as a very unique “zoo” since several hundred years ago. Nearly 80% of reptiles, mammals, fish species, insects and amphibians are regarded as Australia’s “exclusive products”~! In this episode, I’ll be taking everyone on a journey to have a look at an animal hospital in Australia. They are a non-profit organization and doctors working at the hospital treat many injured animals and help a lot of abandoned animals left on the road sides, proof that Australian people are very loving and caring!
After seeing one of Australia’s representative animals the Kangaroo last time, how could I not go and see the other representative animal the Koala! This animal has different names in various different places. They’re sometimes called tree bears, the tail-less bear or even kaola bears, but not matter what you call them, Koalas are still so adorable and so lazy. They spend all day in the tree sleeping and eating leaves. It feels as though that time suddenly slows down while watching them in the trees! I also had the chance to hold them, and the Koala that I was holding actually gave me a gift in return! The most memorable moment during this entire trip was when I came in contact with the wild dolphins. It’s really hard to explain that wonderful feeling; these dolphins are from wild nature yet during the same time each day, they would swim to the same spot by the beach. They don’t have a watch and they don’t know how to tell the time, so how can they be so amazing and appear on time everyday at the same place? (Ha ha ha ha, I’m just joking~!) But I have to say that there are so many wonderful things that happen in nature and this time I’m very lucky to have this eye opening experience~!
