    Finding friends and friends of friends to be extras in your big crowd scenes
    is one way to save money on an indie film shoot.  But when you are looking
    for your extras to disrobe that can be another story!

    In FTG, Cole Kim finds himself on the set of a porn shoot.  We needed to
    find men and women who were comfortable being nude for the scene.  The day
    before the shoot our extras casting team had lined up 5 guys and 8 women.
    At 11pm that night the number of women had dropped to 5 and then by our
    early morning call 0.  The guys all showed up but the women all changed
    their minds for various reasons.
    How can we shoot a scene on a porn set with out nude extras?

    Lesson learned that day:  For nude scenes go with professionals!

    hmm, I'm at work (morning tea) so don't think I'll play the clip (eek) but if it is the same one on the FTG page on myspace I kinda felt it  was a bit gratutious.   I know the scene in the movie isn't (gratutious) and reading your blog about the difficulty in finding extras for such roles has put it the clip in context for me.  cheers!! ^_^

    Yeah for certain extras it is best to stick with the professionals, at the end of the day It was probably worth it. I can see how stressful it would of been expecially with the last minute calls. Glad it worked out. Thanks for sharing the behind-the-scenes vid

    Thank you for sharing an interesting episode of making-of-FTG. Nude models starts with $50/hr or so, may be?
