• A TIME FOR US Epilogue

  Now that my new album has released,
  I can finally put down the big burden that’s been weighing on my chest.
  Tell you the honest truth,
  Each time when I release an album and I tell my friends that I’m really nervous,
  They don’t believe me.
  They always tell me not to say things like what a newcomer usually says.
  But I’ve always felt that
  as a singer,
  each time I release an album is like a mid-stage test.
  It doesn’t matter how many functions you attend,
  this is actually the most important moment where you can exhibit yourself.
  At different stages of my life,
  I’ve had different moods and feelings when it comes to making an album.
  No matter what the response is from the public,
  the record of growth has already been written,
  and no one can change it.
  This time while I was producing ‘a time for us’,
  it just happen that the news of the financial crisis was surfacing,
  and the whole atmosphere changed into something very strange and heavy.
  What I noticed was,
  people thought of things in a pessimistic way,
  and people had lower tolerance when faced with bad situations.
  There was less laughter,
  and exchanged in place of it was sighs if despair.
  I’m not just talking about everybody in general,
  It includes me as well.
  I, the positive ambassador, was nearly affected by this terrible evil monster.
  I don’t understand the issue enough to discuss this topic in great depth like how it’s impacted and affected society,
  and I’m definitely not going to teach everybody how to live your lives.
  I don’t understand it,
  I just want to be happy.
  Everybody was born
  with the same purpose in life,
  and that is to obtain happiness.
  Some people will have a love relationship,
  some people will work hard at their jobs,
  some people will do things not matter what it takes,
  some people live happily in peace,
  and I think,
  the most important thing is that people know how to be grateful.
  Only this way,
  people will feel at peace in their hearts.
  I can understand
  that in a bustling society such as Hong Kong,
  everybody hopes to obtain even more things,
  they hope to gain more knowledge,
  gain more power and abilities,
  gain more acceptances from others,
  and gain more praise.
  But the more they think about it, the more confused they get,
  And that is how their troublesome matters arise.
  
  As for the idea behind ‘a time for us’,
  I hope I can explain a bit about it here for everyone.
  Music, in our daily lives
  is something that we cannot be separated from,
  because with music,
  we can find something in common with each other,
  and you can listen to it whether you’re happy or sad.
  
  Because of this,
  My album didn’t have much direction when I first started,
  We just slowly thought about using this idea and then developed in that direction
  since I’ve already tried what I wanted to do with my previous two albums.
  This time I tackled it more with my heart, less thought,
  and I ultimately discovered that music naturally led us in the right direction.
  The result at the end was very effective,
  and I guess you can say that it made other people happy.
  It was something I didn’t expect to happen.
  
  Thanks to all my good friends who contributed their hard work and efforts, YEAH!
  
  
  The only thing that I regret is that we were short of YY’s assistance,
  I hope that we’ll have an opportunity to cooperate together in the future.
